cc-tapis is proud to participate in the 10th edition of Nomad Capri with Patricia Urquiola and Aspesi, curated by Gianluigi Ricuperati.
The special project “Hand written Stories,- the Capri Letter’’, is an unwritten correspondence between Hans-Ulrich Obrist, and Patricia Urquiola, curated by Gianluigi Ricuperati. Exhibited at Nomad Capri as an homage to the great literary novel by Mario Soldati, ‘Letters from Capri’, it is a spin off of the recent exhibition held in Milan during Design Week 2022, powered by Aspesi, and focused on Hans-Ulrich Obrist’s celebrated archive of handwritten notes.
The spaces inside the San Giacomo di Certosa Monastery become a meditative environment with a selection of newly Hand written quotes written for this particular occasion by Patricia Urquiola. These previously unseen Post It are interpreted in a unique installation with custom-made pieces by Glas Italia and some of Patricia Urquiola’s iconic rugs designed for cc-tapis.
ABOUT NOMAD CAPRI
Conceived in 2017 by Giorgio Pace and Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte, NOMAD is a cruise fair for collectible design and contemporary art which establishes a unique dialogue between art, architecture and design. After the St. Moritz, Monaco, Venice and Cannes editions, the tenth edition will be held in the stunning Certosa di Capri. A 14th Century Monumental Monastery with cloisters and gardens overlooking the Faraglioni.
