cc-tapis partners with Airbnb for the
“1 euro house” in Sambuca di Sicilia.
cc-tapis is happy to be part of Airbnb’s newest project born from the desire to revive Italian cultural heritage, benefiting rural communities that in recent years have suffered from population and tourism decline. A further demonstration of cc-tapis’ commitment to preserve tradition through innovation.
The 1 euro house concept is a project created by the Sambuca di Sicilia municipality by selling historic buildings in the town center for 1 euro. Designed to increase redevelopment and tourism to the region.
Thanks to the involvement of numerous partners, including cc-tapis, Airbnb turned an abandoned mansion into a charming design home, combining the Sicilian architecture with the needs of contemporary living.
A project which brings the light and the atmosphere of the village of Sambuca into interior spaces, creating a home for all over the world guests who are going to fall in love with its completely new contemporary atmosphere. On the top of three floors, the Visioni rug designed by Patricia Urquiola for cc-tapis is ready to welcome the future guests of the house. The interior project was designed by Studio Didea, a local architecture studio based in Palermo.
