Once a year, Berlin Art Week brings together the most important institutions in the Berlin art world. Museums, exhibition houses, private collections and galleries open their doors and invite people to discover the evolving scenario of contemporary art.

This year, STUDIO 4 BERLIN, a platform for contemporary art based in Berlin developed an interdisciplinary and intercultural exhibition putting together three rugs from the MDV Collection by Marco De Vincenzo and five aluminium wall pieces by Spanish artist Pablo Alonso.

The result is an exciting combination that enhances the work of both “artists” merging two different identities in a common exhibition surface.

Marco De Vincenzo with the MDV Collection in collaboration with cc-tapis transformed his lurex textile into contemporary hand-knotted rugs, reflecting the experimental spirit of both brands.

Pablo Alonso

The contemporary artist Pablo Alonso explores the energy between modernist abstraction and traditional representation, approaching historical genres and motifs in art through a contemporary language.
