At the base of this project is an impressionist approach. Pepe started from his personal memories and feelings related to traditional carpet iconography, optically recreating classic decoration.
After the first glance, modules start to emerge from distant worlds, abstract geometries that follow mathematical patterns like musical “ritournelle” or jingles, which is where the names of the rugs stem from.
